linocutting
I picked up this project about a year ago, doing it on & off. My first print was a set of mushrooms & I gave a few prints out to friends. I tried hand drawing a couple ideas, inspired by other linocut images, but didn’t love any of them. A few months later, I started the current project: “things jean loves” which is a shirt with different items that I love, with stamps that I have drawn & cut.

These are just short videos I make for my personal instagram stories, usually with a song in the background I feel is fitting, usually one I have been recently listening to. I use the app “Splice” but am trying to use “Capcut” more as I think there is a wider variety of tools.

ceramics
This was a class I took senior year of high school that ended up being one of my favorites out of every class I took. I unfortunately have not been able to do much more since then, as it it hard to find studios.

film photography
My mother gave me a film camera she was going to get rid of my freshman year of high school. It was a Canon AE-1 so everything was manual. I had never used a camera before so I had a lot of fun learning about aperture & f-stops. I got a brick of an automatic film camera about two & half years later but I have been using my digital camera more frequently, though I miss using film a lot.

guitar + piano + ukulele
I learned the uke in middle and high school for fun, my dad got me one for my 13th birthday and I just learned how to play chords and songs I know. I’ve always wanted to learn guitar and piano but never did. I’ve started learning very basic chords and how to read sheet music well but its hard!! I am having fun and learning songs I love like “Waiting Room” and “Northern Attitude.”
